Bad, bad mommy!

My 17-year-old son has his first girlfriend. He made me swear to him I wouldn't blog about it, so that's all you get except for the fact that the worrier in me now works overtime.

So am I a bad mom for hoping things don't work out, even if it means he gets his heart broken?

Better him than me, right?

(Don't tell him I said that.)

I am against girlfriends. And boyfriends. They should have them when they are away in college and we can see no evil.

Yep. No BF's or GF's allowed until college. That's totally going to be my rule. Of course, I would have hated my parents if they'd had that rule. Not that I actually even had a date until college...

Time to start following him around.

My friend's mother bribed all of her kids with $1,000 upon graduation if they had not had a BF or GF (or kissed anyone) by the time they graduated from High School. That was ten years ago. How much do you think that would set me back in this day and age?
